We’ve embarked on a step-by-step journey to move New Life Center from a one-dimensional organization offering shelter and basic services into a multi-faceted emergency, crisis and life-transformation center.
Filled beds on average at
NLC on
any given night in 2017
Unique individuals stayed in our
men’s shelter in 2017
Guests screened and 42 admitted
to our Medical Respite program
Individuals that our thrift store provided clothing, furniture, and household essentials to at no cost
The number of people who need our support has grown exponentially over the years, and their struggles have become increasingly complex. To achieve lasting impacts for people and our communities, we need to address intertwined issues at deeper levels. To do it, we need to enhance the New Life Center facilities and programs.
Construction is moving along
nicely at the New Life Center.
The
timeline is showing that we are
getting close to completion of
Phase 2 of our remodel project and
will transition to Phase 3 in
mid-May. The new kitchen, dining
room, community & rec. rooms are
completed. Areas of focus at this
time are our new Case
Management area (which was the
old Thrift Store location) and the
basement (old dining room/kitchen/ community room
which you will see gutted out in
the images included) that will now
be the new location for our Harbor
Program dorms and classrooms.
