Due to this years spring flood prediction, the New Life Center's Women's Auxiliary has sadly decided to postpone this years Prayer Breakfast and Evening Desert event. As you may recall, last years flood resulted in the cancellation of many local events, as well as the Prayer Breakfast. There were a host of logistical challenges that resulted, such as refunding tickets, re-calling publicity efforts, and spreading the word of the cancellation. In addition, the speaker and venue were inconvenienced and impacted financially.

Fortunately, there is a silver lining in all of this. We spoke with our scheduled speaker, Ellie Lofaro, about our concerns. She has been gracious and understanding. She was keenly aware of our situation last spring and expressed great disappointment that flooding conditions are once again interfering with our plans to bring her here this April. However, there will still be an opportunity for women in our area to hear Ellie Lofaro. She and Kathy Troccoli are coming to Bethel Church in Fargo on November 13 of this year for a women’s conference called Spaghetti for the Soul. It will be a day of solid Biblical teaching, an uplifting concert, and a healthy dose of humor. The organizers of this event have told us that more information will be forthcoming.
